Michele Beattie

Chartered Accountant, Bachelor of Commerce (Melbourne), ICAANZ Certificate of Public Practice, ASIC Approved Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor

Sole Principal, Michele Beattie, has been involved in the financial services industry since 1990, and in her own practice since 2011, servicing clients in South Gippsland, Melbourne, Central Victoria and beyond.

Having worked in superannuation in large corporates for 10 years, her previous experience as an auditor and National Technical advisor specialising in superannuation at Ernst & Young has given Michele the insight and depth of knowledge to deal with even the most complex of audit issues.

Account Manager at Russell Investments

Working with large clients to implement their Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Legislative requirements and responsible for review and implementation of Family Law administrative processes.

Manager Operations BHP Billiton Superannuation Fund

Responsible for managing the communication, member services and daily operations of the fund with $2 Billion plus in assets and over 30,000 members.

National Technical Advisor, Ernst & Young

Responsible for provision of technical advice to Ernst &Young employees Australia wide, with speciality in superannuation compliance.

Authored Audit Guide No.4 “The Audit of Superannuation Funds” for the Australian Auditing Standards Board.
Acted as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Developed and presented a national training course for super fund auditors for The Insurance & Superannuation Commission
